Traveling is about embracing a place and letting it embrace you
back.
Meanwhile, exploring a place you had visited countless of
times is stripping yourself off the familiarity and opening your heart to a new
sense of discovery.
With this running in my head, I got out one overcast Saturday afternoon to
flex my photography muscle. I headed toward the Quezon Memorial Circle--a place where I used to hung out with friends to ride the bicycle after the working hours on a tiring day.
Of course, probably known to many, Quezon Memorial Circle is a national park and a shrine where the remains of the late President Manuel L. Quezon, is laid to rest.
It is open for public visit to educate young minds of the country's rich history.
But for someone like me who is not so fond of history, the place had developed its own charm that probably became synonymous with fun.
Strolling in it, both familiar and unexpected scenarios greet me so I started freezing moments that both captured my curiosity and interest.
The park has become a fitness hub and a tambayan [ a place to hung out with friends].
In the opposite side of the hullabaloo is a sanctuary for nature lovers.
And just as I thought the day is over, came one of the probably attraction of the park, the fountain came to come to life as it bids farewell to the setting sun.
I realized, I was not alone in amazement of this view I saw for the first time.
